John James Bocek broke into the home and began shooting before turning the gun on himself. A teenage girl and the father of her friend were killed Sunday morning when a man with an alleged history of violence against females forced his way into a home during a sleepover and began shooting, eventually turning the gun on himself before police arrived. While in the house, Bocek fatally shot Matthew Allen Chaplin, 51, the father of one of the girls, and year-old Jenna Elizabeth Hewitt. When police arrived, they found the fatal victims and Bocek, who was barely alive from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Holloway was scheduled to fly home from the Caribbean island on May 30, , but she failed to appear for her flight. When the three men were questioned, they said that they dropped off Holloway at her hotel and denied knowing what had become of her. Due to lack of evidence, the three suspects were released each time without being charged with a crime.
